A TEENAGER has survived being hit by a train at Mitchell Park in Adelaide after jumping on to the track to retrieve a fallen iPod.
Details of the 11am (CST) accident remain sketchy, but it is known that the 16-year-old student victim is male and has suffered serious injuries, AdelaideNow reports.
He is now in Flinders Medical Centre.
It is understood that the train was travelling at low speed in the Mitchell Park station at the time and that the boy escaped death by bouncing off it and pinning himself against a platform wall.
