FOUR-WHEEL-DRIVES have a greater propensity to roll over than conventional sedans, with their drivers more than three times more likely to be killed in a roll, latest research has found.

The study into four-wheel-drive safety, commissioned by the RACV and undertaken by the Monash University Accident Research Centre, also found the occurrence of roll-overs trebled in higher speed zones of 80 km/h and above.
