Mel Gibson asking for pray
MEL Gibson has surprised a conference of US Catholic bishops by flying on a private jet to America’s heartland and asking them to pray for him.
The Hollywood star, linked to a sexy Russian songstress and expected to lose half of his estimated $1 billion fortune to soon-to-be ex-wife Robyn, shocked members of the Eastern Catholic Church Bishop Conference when he arrived in St Louis this week to meet them.
“I was more than surprised. I was flabbergasted,” Bishop Robert Shaheen of the Maronite Church told St Louis TV station KPLR.
The New York-born, Australian-raised Oscar winner did not ask the bishops for their support as he enters divorce proceedings with his wife of 28 years, but he did tell them he was “going through a bad time in my life”.
Gibson was interested in talking to the bishops about the Maronite’s tradition of using the language of Jesus, Aramaic, during mass.

Second Oksana claims to be Mel Gibson’s love interest
The saga of Mel Gibson’s marriage breakdown has turned into a tale of two Oksanas.
Following angry denials from a Russian nightclub chanteuse, Oksana Kolesnikova, that she was the mystery brunette pictured with the actor frolicking on a beach in Costa Rica last month, a second Oksana emerged yesterday to claim the title of Gibson’s cladestine love interest.
Pop starlet Oksana Pochepa, 24, told British tabloids her alleged relationship with the actor is “serious”. “I don’t know how long it will last … But Mel is a grown man and knows precisely what he wants,” she told The Sun.

The early life of Mel Gibson
Gibson was born in Peekskill, New York, the sixth of eleven children, and the second son of Hutton Gibson and Irish-born Anne Reilly. His paternal grandmother was the Australian opera soprano, Eva Mylott (1875–1920).[4] One of Gibson’s younger brothers, Donal, is also an actor. Gibson’s first name comes from Saint Mel, fifth-century Irish saint, and founder of Gibson’s mother’s native diocese, Ardagh, while his second name, Columcille, is also that of an Irish saint.[5] Columcille is also the name of the parish in County Longford where Anne Reilly was born and raised. Because of his mother, Gibson holds dual Irish and American citizenship.[6]
Soon after being awarded $145,000 in a work-related-injury lawsuit against New York Central Railroad on February 14, 1968, Hutton Gibson relocated his family to Sydney, Australia.[7] Gibson was 12 years old at the time. The move to Hutton’s mother’s native Australia was for economic reasons, and because Hutton thought the Australian military would reject his oldest son for the Vietnam War draft.[8]
Gibson was educated by members of the Congregation of Christian Brothers at St. Leo’s Catholic College in Wahroonga, New South Wales, during his high-school years.
