Preventing Morning Sickness Could Be Easier Than You Think   by Steven Luzern

Preventing Morning Sickness Could Be Easier Than You Think.

What you’re going to read about preventing morning sickness will probably surprise you. In fact, it’s so revealing you might even have trouble believing it. But facts are facts and can’t be denied. So keep reading and you’ll discover an amazing truth about preventing morning sickness.

What’s more, keep this following statement in mind as you’re reading this article. “I’m prepared (as with any claim I make) to back-up what I’m about to reveal to you regarding preventing morning sickness with a live public demonstration.”

So let’s get started and discover something amazing about preventing morning sickness…

Have you ever wondered why some women suffer morning sickness that is so severe it even threatens the life of their unborn child? Yet others go through pregnancy almost without any sickness at all?

Furthermore, although called “morning sickness” as you probably know already, it doesn’t just occur in the morning. It can, and does for some women, occur anytime of the day.

Well, being a man, I have absolutely no concept of what it must be like to have a fetus develop and grow inside you, and then bring that life into this world. But I can tell you one thing for sure – even the thought of it terrifies me!

If you’re not a mother, just think of all the aspects of pregnancy that an expectant mum has to worry over. “Will my baby develop normally in my womb?” … “Will I have any medical problems while I’m pregnant?” … “Am I likely to have any complications giving birth?” … “Will my baby be strong and healthy when it’s born?”

These are just the tip of the iceberg. Furthermore, we must also remember that problems in these areas could be a matter of life or death for the mother and her baby! Unlikely, but a possibility.

So, is it any wonder a mother-to-be can become anxious when she discovers she is pregnant? Not to mention, if it’s her first pregnancy. Furthermore, a woman will subconsciously know she’s pregnant long before she consciously knows, or when her doctor tells her.

So let’s accept, for a moment, that a mother-to-be has some serious thoughts to contend with – no matter how excited and pleased she is to be pregnant.

Now let’s review briefly what anxiety is. Anxiety is fear that comes from within us. In this case it is the worries, concerns and negative images that a pregnant mother has during pregnancy. And fear is an emotion that can, and does, create nausea and sickness.

Therefore, is it a major leap to conclude that morning sickness could be generated by the subconscious anxiety an expectant mother has to deal with – regardless of whether the pregnancy is wanted or not?

Doctors usually say they don’t really know what causes ‘morning sickness’. But then go on to say it’s often due to hormonal changes and/or lower blood sugar during pregnancy.

But don’t women suffer hormonal changes and low blood sugar at other times in their life without being sick? Why should hormones during pregnancy be any different? I know there are some in-depth explanations to this answer, but stay with me for a minute.

Leading on from this, let’s answer the question, “why do some women suffer ‘morning sickness’ that is so severe it even threatens the life of their unborn child?” Yet others go through pregnancy almost without sickness at all?” I’m aware of one case where doctors were considering terminating a pregnancy because the mother’s morning sickness was so severe they were concerned for her wellbeing.

Well, as with all subconscious anxieties, the intensity of the problem is proportional to the intensity of the anxiety. Therefore pregnant women suffering from severe morning sickness must be harboring severe anxiety over some aspect of their pregnancy. Therefore, preventing morning sickness is possible if the underlying anxiety can be resolved.

Let me give you a brief case study of a precision analysis I carried out with a woman who was suffering from debilitating morning sickness, which was accompanied by general feelings of weakness and lack of energy. In addition to this she also felt unwell most of the time.

The lady in question was forty-two years of age and already had four children. Two of which were in their late teenage years and had left home. This fifth pregnancy of hers was with a different partner than the previous four. The pregnancy was, however, planned and certainly wanted. Once she was relaxed into deep hypnosis the cause of her anxiety soon came to the surface after a little detective work …

It transpired that during the process of giving birth to her four previous children she hemorrhaged on each occasion. Each time she hemorrhaged it caused her great concern, but with good medical treatment she never suffered any complications. Unfortunately, when she gave birth to her forth child the doctor attending the delivery asked her if she intended having anymore children. Her answer was no! The doctor’s reply to this was “good, you’ve hemorrhaged rather badly and as you’re now approaching forty, giving birth to another baby could be dangerous for you.”

These words spoken by the doctor when she was very emotional, and therefore in an extremely receptive state of mind, made a deep impression upon her at a subconscious level. So it naturally followed that when she fell pregnant this time, at a level below her conscious awareness, she began to suffer great anxiety.

Subconsciously she was seriously concerned about dying during the process of giving birth to the baby she was now carrying. The possibility of her dying was probably remote, due to modern medical care, but her subconscious fear was extremely real and based on the words her doctor spoke just after she had delivered her 4th child. I’m delighted to say that once we had alleviated her subconscious anxiety and boosted her wellbeing with suggestions, her morning sickness stopped. Furthermore her feelings of being tired and unwell also dissolved away.

The remainder of her pregnancy went smoothly and, in the fullness of time, she delivered a healthy baby boy – with no complications. Plus this time, because of what she had learnt during her sessions with me – she didn’t hemorrhage!

This precision analysis is just one of many I’ve conducted with pregnant women suffering from severe morning sickness.

Other intense anxiety cases causing morning sickness that I’ve uncovered include …

A woman who had been told in many ways by many people that – ’she was just like her mother’. Over the years this had made an impact on her at a level below her conscious awareness, but did not appear to have caused any problems – until she became pregnant. The sad case here is that she had never met her mother. Her mother died of complications shortly after giving birth to her.

Below her level of consciousness, because she was ’so much like her mother’ she was terrified that she too, would die whilst giving birth to her baby, just as her mother had. As with most other cases, once her subconscious fear was allayed her morning sickness stopped.

In this next case example, the woman became pregnant while having a brief romantic affair during her marriage. Unfortunately, she had no idea whether the father of her child was her husband or lover. This in itself didn’t seem to trouble her too much. Plus, she was delighted to be pregnant for the first time.

She told me that she was basically happy in her marriage and that her affair had now finished. But, and it’s a BIG but! Her affair was the root cause of her anxiety problem. Let me explain, her and her husband were Anglo-Saxon in origin and therefore white skinned, where as her boyfriend was from Jamaica and definitely very dark skinned!

What would she do when her baby was born if it was of mixed origin? This was the anxiety that kept her suffering from severe morning sickness day after day.

She didn’t want to leave her husband, or the quality of life he was providing her with. Nevertheless, she had no doubt that if her baby was of mixed origins her husband would not be understanding, and would throw her out immediately!

If this was not enough to cause her major concerns, she had very little in the way of family, and unconsciously, carried a strong fear that she could be homeless with a newborn child!

Unlike most cases, I was not able to help this woman in any useful way. Simply because although her anxiety was mostly generated by her imagining, her problem was based on the real fear of what would happen to her and her baby if the baby was obviously not her husband’s when it was born.

I have no follow-up information on this case.

Morning Sickness – Top Food Tips to Rid You from Nausea & Vomiting in Pregnancy   by Claire Batten

Are you suffering the affects of morning sickness. It seems so unfair that at a time of great joy and excitement women are plagued with nausea, vomiting and food aversions. Don’t lose hope though, there are lots of practical things you can do with you diet that have a track record of helping women who are suffering from morning sickness

* The smell of food can trigger morning sickness. Food that is cold tends to smell less so this is a better option to avoid triggering nausea and vomiting.

* Research has proven that blood sugar has an impact on morning sickness. By keeping your blood sugar stable you are less likely to suffer from nausea and vomiting. Having a good sized portion of protein at each meal will help to maintain your blood sugar levels. Having a protein snack before you go to bed and if you wake during the night will alleviate sickness on waking

* Try to avoid foods that make your blood sugar rise to quickly and subsequently fall. Foods such as fruit juice sugary snacks, highly processed foods including cereals and any food that contains white flour.

* Consume small frequent meals with a good amount of protein.

* Don’t worry if the foods you are choosing do not seem too balanced. It’s better to keep it down, than have a perfectly balance meal down the loo!

* Put a snack next to the bed at night so that you can eat it 20 minutes before you get up (hopefully you won’t need to run to the loo)

* Foods that are high in fat are more difficult to digest and can make nausea and vomiting worse. Other common culprits include, rich, spicy, acidic and fried foods

* Stay hydrated. This is so important. Try and have regular small drinks (tea, soup, cool drinks) as gulping down large volumes of water can also increase the feelings of nausea. If you have been vomiting consider sipping an isotonic sports drink as it will help to restore balance to your blood sugars, glucose and electrolytes. It is much better to have some fluid in your stomach if you are going to vomit.

* Consider taking your prenatal vitamins at dinner time or just before you go to bed. Your body can handle it much better later in the day and is less likely to trigger nausea or vomiting. Sometimes iron supplements either on their own or part your normal prenatal can be harsh on your digestive system so consider reducing the amount. As soon as the nausea has passed you can increase the amount again. You have a history of anemia then do reduce your iron supplementation without first discussing it with your healthcare provider.

* Ginger tea can be helpful as well as chewing raw ginger. It is worth trying any ginger based product such as ginger candy, ginger beer and stem ginger biscuits.

* As obvious at it might seem avoid any food (or situation) that you find triggers your nausea

* Some ladies find Brewer’s yeast capsules help to relieve morning sickness

* Vitamin B6 has been demonstrated to reduce morning sickness and can be found in cereal grains, legumes, eggs, fish, chicken, nuts and avocados.

* Suck or sniff a lemon when you hit a wave of nausea

* Mint tea and mint chewing gum can be very calming to the digestive tract. Chewing gum can help if excessive saliva is a problem.

Overall it is best to listen to your instinct. It is there for a reason. If you are driven to eat a certain food, then eat it. If the thought or smell of a food makes you feel sick then it is best avoided. Try to be as balanced as possible but do not worry if you cannot. If you are unable to keep anything down it is important to speak to your health care provider.

Early Pregnancy Symptom – Morning Sickness Causes

Early Pregnancy Symptom – Morning Sickness Causes   by Alien

No one is quite certain what morning sickness causes are. Several factors are put forward as theory to explain the vomit sensation that makes you throw up all the contents of your stomach. The physical causes may be related to the chemical changes your body is going through. Those changes include rapidly increasing estrogen and progesterone levels, an enhanced sense of smell and excess stomach acids. Stress and fatigue that accompany pregnancy also play a role.

Progesterone Plays A Role

A theory is that the dominant hormone progesterone causes morning sickness during pregnancy. Progesterone has a “softening” effect on the muscles in the body; it helps prevent preterm labor by effecting the uterine muscles. It also effects other muscles, such as the stomach and intestines. The progesterone relaxes the workings of the whole digestive tract making the elimination of bodily wastes slower, which can lead to a slow emptying of the stomach which in turn leads to excess stomach acids.

Smells In Pregnancy

A possible cause of morning sickness is heightened sensitivity to odors. An odor that may not have been offensive prior to pregnancy can suddenly become nauseating, triggering the gag reflex, for example foods like coffee and meat. The sensitivity may also be linked to an increase in hormones, specifically estrogen, but is still unknown.

Who Suffer It Most?

Those most likely to suffer morning sickness are those experiencing first pregnancies, in young women, and in women carrying multiple fetuses.

For a cure to morning sickness, it may help to eliminate foods that trigger nausea or are spicy or fatty. Eating a bland diet helps many pregnant women get through the morning sickness period. Many pregnant women also try eating small portions more frequently and avoiding large meals all together.

Mildly put, morning sickness is the name applied to nausea and vomiting during pregnancy is one of the early pregnancy symptoms. Though it is called morning sickness and many women find the nausea and vomiting painful to endure, it can occur at any time of the day. Usually disappearing at the end of the first trimester, morning sickness gives way to indigestion and heartburn during the third trimester. This is when the uterus has expanded to accommodate the growing fetus, putting pressure on the upper digestive track.

What’s The Good In Morning Sickness?

Morning sickness isn’t all bad, though. Recent studies have suggested that mothers who have morning sickness have fewer miscarriages so the morning sickness bouts you are suffering have a useful role to play after all, in your and your baby’s well being. A study in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology released in May 2000 suggested that morning sickness could help regulate levels of insulin in a pregnant woman’s bloodstream, particularly during the early stages of pregnancy when bloodstream insulin levels tend to increase. Insulin, which is released in response to food intake, regulates blood sugar levels, and the result is that as insulin levels increase in the bloodstream, more fat is metabolized. During early pregnancy, bouts of vomiting keeps insulin levels down, thus slowing fat metabolism. This is beneficial to the fetus because it ensures there are enough nutrients to fuel its early development. Morning sickness causes might thus have a healthy bearing on your baby’s development.

Morning sickness Prevention: Taking Care of Yourself Helps

Morning sickness Prevention: Taking Care of Yourself Helps   by Alien

Morning sickness prevention is required at the time of early pregnancy because morning sickness, also known as pregnancy sickness, affects over half the women who are pregnant. It is a condition of nausea and vomiting that troubles pregnant women in the first trimester of pregnancy and disappears by the time the fourth month strikes. To doctors, morning sickness will generally not affect pregnancy and is in fact a good sign of fetal growth. One of the symptoms of pregnancy early phase, morning sickness is connected to physical changes the body undergoes in order to accommodate the baby in the womb. There is research being conducted to find out whether Morning sickness can at all be involved in helping the pregnant woman modify her diet in order to produce a healthier baby. When the baby’s organs are developing in the first 12 to 14 weeks, it is important that toxins do not enter the embryo and if they do, that they don’t stay there for long. While not proved yet, Morning sickness may be nature’s way of protecting the embryo from naturally occurring plant and bacterial toxins in the mother’s diet by forcing her to be repelled by smells and tastes that indicate toxicity.

Some pregnant women do not experience any symptom of morning sickness and go on to have normal babies. There are other women whose morning sickness bouts become so severe that they may have to be hospitalized and intravenously fed foods. The latter suffer from a condition known as hyperemesis graviduram. If left untreated, the condition could cause dehydration and malnutrition.

What are the ways to morning sickness prevention from striking pregnant women? It should be mentioned that no treatment for preventing this condition should be begun without some counsel from the health care provider. Adverse side effects could result from the treatment to prevent vomit in early pregnancy. But once some counsel has been received, you can go ahead and follow a few preventive tips.

Frequent Snacking On Small Meals

Snacks like rice cakes or whole-wheat crackers can help stave off those pangs of nausea. Sometimes feeling sick could mean you are hungry and regular small snacks can help by boosting your energy levels. It helps to have those snacks right next to you when you get up from bed, in the morning and even at night, so you can feel less nauseous. You can even carry some with you for morning sickness prevention, in case you start to feel queasy when you are traveling. Six smaller meals divided into regular portions during the day instead of three larger ones, could be the change in your lifestyle you may have to adopt. This will help keep your stomach full and steady your blood sugar throughout the day.

Eating High Carbohydrates And Protein-Rich Meals

Foods high in carbohydrates and protein are the important morning sickness prevention foods- they may consist of fresh fruits and vegetables and carbohydrate-rich foods like bread, plain baked potato, plain biscuits or crackers. Hard-to-digest, high-fat foods could be avoided as they leave the stomach slower than carbohydrates and proteins, thereby aggravating the nausea.

Drinking Water, Juices, Herb Teas

Fluids leave the stomach when you vomit, so drink plenty of fluids such as water, herb teas, diluted fruit juice, sparkling mineral water and other soft drinks in between meals to replace the fluids you’re losing by vomiting and also helping to neutralize stomach acids. It makes sense to drink in between meals, rather than with meals (about an hour after solids), as the former prevents the distending of the stomach that may induce vomiting. Alcohol is the one fluid you should stay away from, for morning sickness prevention. Eating What’s Right By Instinct

Providing they are healthy food options, give in to your cravings by eating whatever takes your fancy. Whether chicken or garlic bread, so long as you are meeting your daily nutritional requirements, it doesn’t matter what you eat as particular foods. Also, missing an occasional meal is not going to harm the developing fetus, so long as you can maintain sufficient daily intakes of water and prenatal vitamins.

Avoiding The Odors That Make You Sick

During pregnancy, many women develop a heightened sensitivity to smalls, and odors can trigger nausea. To stay interested in eating, keep away from where the foods are cooked: let someone else cook while you get out of the house, or use the microwave instead of the stove; open the windows after meals to clear out cooking odors. If the sight or smell of cooking makes you feel worse, stick to foods that are relatively easy to prepare and cook for morning sickness prevention. Sucking on mints and lozenges when the food is being prepared might keep your stomach calm for it blocks out smells.

Resting on Regular Intervals

Studies show that fatigue, worry and stress worsen the symptoms of Morning sickness. You must slow down the tempo of your life when you become pregnant, learn to relax and rest, pamper yourself and conduct your life at a slower pace. Napping whenever you get the chance helps you to stay fresh and not wanting in energy.

Exercising

Pregnant women who regularly exercise for morning sickness prevention decrease their risk of morning sickness, while at the same time not endangering their fetus. Women who exercised bloated less and had less severe pangs of nausea than did non- exercisers.
